The confusion or inability to grasp or learn comes AFTER a word that the person did not have defined and understood.” To prove this point he gives an example, “It was found that when the crepuscule arrived the children were quieter and when it was not present, they were much livelier.” Now, the one who has not understood the meaning of Crepuscule, which means twilight or darkness, will definitely have confusion and this confusion leads to disinterest and ultimately one loses interest and feel sleepy, etc.

It is said that things that are worth learning are never “interesting.” But without learning things that are worthy, one cannot have a worthy and successful life because success comes from “applying” what you have learned and understood. Therefore one need to develop an interest and that interest comes only when you start “understanding” what you are learning. “Understanding” also gives you another great boon and that is, it helps you to store what you have learned and recall it whenever you need.

A young friend of mine who is into developing better memory says, “It also depends on how you have stored what you have understood in your mind. If you have stored it as “a passing remark” mind tends to give less priority and hence it can get erased.” He then looked at me and said, “You know, I started it for fun, and then I saw people looking at me with surprise and with reverence and then storing information became a passion; so was reading!” You may like to flag what you read in the mind like we tag people on the FB, etc so people remember and reply. I got a notification from Quora that you want me to write and hence I wrote, remembered to write and enjoyed writing. Remember, even if you are reading a novel, singing a song or appreciating a picture, learning is happening and you invariably with or without knowing applies that knowing while sharing it, even if it is for the sheer enjoyment.

Prof. C Devidasan,
Vice President,
WOW Factors

There are several reasons as to why someone feels sleepy when he or she reads. It can be as simple as you are tired, it can be due to a medical condition a person is facing, it can be lack of interest, etc. American philosopher L Ron Hubbard who wrote “Dianetics” (Dianetics is the study

[26
27,11,30,29
post-3657","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-education","tag-education","tag-featured","tag-school","tag-study
["GET
